What: Yagyuu, Arthur, a hooker, a pimp cane, british food, Tokyo Tower a car, a train, a date and fireworks.
When: Late April-ish

After their return to Tokyo and Yuushi leaving Yagyuu fell back into his routine, spending most of his time at the hospital and returning home for a microwaved meal, a hot shower and a few hours of exhausted, dreamless sleep. Today was shaping up to be no different as he left the OR after an operation that had taken most of the morning. He was in fact just in the process of shedding his scrubs and trading them in for something more generally acceptable when a nurse knocked on the door to let him know that there was somebody there asking for him

That morning, Oshitari had been particularly bored. He completed all of his chores in the Tezuka residence, which left him with plenty of time for mischief. It didn't take long for him to devise a plan.

A plan that involved a hooker, dressed in the most inappropriate of nurse's outfits, waiting for Yagyuu at the end of his shift. As Oshitari cooked, he wondered how that interaction would go down.

"Liu Shi,
I hope you enjoy your surprise. I would have come myself, but I really cannot fill out the outfit the way Sakura can.
XOXO Arthur"

If the scantily clad stripper hadn't been enough to surprise Yagyuu the note certainly was and he stared at it for a long moment while everybody else was busy ogling the young lady who had to be freezing various bits off. "Miss..." Raising his eyes from the note handed to him Yagyuu smiled blandly at the 'nurse'. "Could I trouble you to take a message back to the gentleman who employed you for me?

"Certainly," she said with a smile, posing with charm. Oshitari had paid her quite a lot to do relatively little, so the extra errand suited her just fine.

"My gratitude. Why don't you sit down and I'll quickly write it." Nodding to the young lady Yagyuu retreated into the locker room to write his own message. Once he was done he slipped it into the envelope Yuushi's had come in and stepped out again to hand it to Sakura. "Here you go." He passed her a folded up banknote as well.

"Of course," the scantily clad 'nurse' took a seat on top of a nearby desk and listened to the murmurings of others. Oshitari had told her to make as much of a ruckus as possible, without getting Yagyuu fired.

"Thank you very much," she grinned. "It's been an absolute pleasure working with you." And with that, Sakura winked at her charge and left the hospital to find her employer.

About an hour later, Oshitari received the message. For a split second, his eyes widened. Then, he smiled.

By the time Yuushi got the message Yagyuu had just arrived at his own residence and was ready for a nice hot shower before making a cup of tea and spending the evening on the couch with a medical tome in his lap as he had done every evening he had enough energy left not to simply pass out upon returning home.

My dear Arthur. First of thank you for your thoughtful missive and the lovely lady who delivered it. As for the costume, I am sure we can find something else for you to wear if you are so inclined. Sincerely Yagyuu Hiroshi

If Yagyuu wanted to see him in a costume, Oshitari could certainly deliver. Dressing himself in a pair of slacks and a purple, velvet blazer, he added a few accessories to make it a costume. He figured the tophat, cane and some heavy beads he received from mardi gras would be suitable for a pimp.

Dressed like that, he knocked on Yagyuu's door.

Considering that only a handful of people knew where he lived and it was highly doubtful and of his colleagues would search him out at home and the others lived in a different country Yagyuu was not surprised to see Yuushi when he opened the door. The surprise however came when he noted what the man was wearing. "Arthur." He caught himself quickly and inclined his head, pulling the door open further. "Please, come in.

Oshitari tipped his hat as he entered and slipped his shoes off at the entryway. "What do you think?" He said, posing flamboyantly; he wore a wide smirk.

"That I might have been right with my assumption of your profession upon our first meeting after all." Yagyuu deadpanned, handing Yuushi a pair of house slippers. "Tea or wine?"

"Who is to say you weren't, and I haven't been lying to you this whole time," he took the slippers, eying the doctor up and down. He still looked tired, but a little bit better. Perhaps it was from sleeping in an actual bed from time to time.

"Wine, pleased."

"If that were the case you went to a lot of effort for no reason." Yagyuu retorted while heading for the kitchen to break out the wine again they'd had last time.

Yagyuu did indeed have a point there. "Did you enjoy your gift?" he asked, following him into the kitchen.

"Not as much as some of the others I imagine." Pouring the red wine Yagyuu then carried it back to the living room and gestured for his guest to take a seat. "It was quite a surprise."

Oshitari did as indicated and sat on the couch, long legs crossing over each other. "I would be far more concerned if you weren't surprised," he chuckled. He took the glass of wine and raised it in toast.

"I don't know, we tend to get all the unusual people in the ER on a Friday evening." Sitting down next to Yuushi Yagyuu raised his glass as well. "Though this was far more pleasant than those tend to be."

"I'm glad," Oshitari grinned. He took a sip of wine, pausing to savor the taste. "She said she thought you were very handsome."

"I'm flattered she thought so." Curling up in his corner of the couch Yagyuu slowly sipped at his wine. "Do you know her well?"

"MMm, she's an acquaintance of mine," he figured it was best left at that. He hadn't done anything to be ashamed of with her, but they met at a party or two. "Thank you for receiving her well."

"She seemed like a very sweet young lady." Was all Yagyuu had to say to that, instead content to just quietly sip his wine.

"What are you up to this evening?" Oshitari asked. "Any big exciting plans?"

"Reading up on a few things." Yagyuu gestured at the book on the coffee table. "I'm afraid it's not terribly exciting."

"Are you too tired to go out?" he raised a brow. Picking up the book, he flipped through it a bit, making sure he saved Yagyuu's page.

"That depends." Raising an eyebrow Yagyuu ran his gaze over the other man again. "Do I have to dress up too?"

"You may dress however you wish," Oshitari promised, checking out an interesting fact.

"I'll have to see what I can find to match your unconventional choice of outfit then." Yagyuu agreed, feeling mellowed by the wine.

With a chuckle, Oshitari said, "I unpacked your wardobe. I'm more than sure you have something appropriate."

"Hmm." Draining the last of the wine from his glass Yagyuu uncurled himself and climbed off of the couch. "Did you have anything particular in mind?" He turned to head to his bedroom, glancing back as if to ask if Yuushi was coming too.

"Just surprise me," Oshitari shook his head. He could always read until the doctor was done dressing. "We need to go shopping for you anyways. You have a few good things, but not nearly enough."

"Very well." Yagyuu nodded. "I'll be back shortly then." Slipping away he gently closed the door to his bedroom behind him.

While Yagyuu dressed, Oshitari preoccupied himself with reading. He flipped to a subject that he felt less knowledgeable on and read.

Standing in front of his closet Yagyuu considered his choices for a long moment before deciding on a simple pair of black slacks and a yellow chinese style top. It might not be the most imaginative but at least it wouldn't clash with Arthur's blazer.

"Awww, you look like a bumble bee," Oshitari teased. He had removed his tophat and flashy jewelry, so his outfit looked more classy than ridiculous. "Are you ready to go?"

"I've always been partial to yellow." Yagyuu retorted, unfazed and nodded. "Where are we going?

"Well, where have you yet to explore?" Oshitari inquired, taking their empty wine glasses to the kitchen.

"I'm afraid I haven't really done much exploring since our last meeting." Heading for the door Yagyuu slipped into his shoes and pulled his coat out of the closet

"What a pity," though, it was to Oshitari's advantage. He could show Yagyuu many new things. "Have you been to Roppongi yet?"

"A few years ago, but not since." Pocketing his keys and wallet Yagyuu held the door open for Yuushi.

"Thank you," Oshitari said, proceeding out. Luckily for him, it was a beautiful day. "Have you been up Tokyo tower?" he inquired. "Though, I'm not sure it's been reopened. The top of it bent during the quake."

"I haven't." Yagyuu shook his head, joining Yuushi outside. "Ah, I think I read an announcement about it in the news."

"At the very least, we should go see it," he concluded, offering his arm to Yagyuu.

"Indeed." Yagyuu agreed, taking Yuushi's arm. "Have you had dinner yet?"

"Not yet," Oshitari admitted, as they strolled toward the elevator arm in arm. "I thought I would take you out for a treat. Anything in particular that strikes your fancy?" he inquired, smiling gently as he pressed the ground floor button.

"Actually I could go for some fish and chips." Resting his hand on his companion's arm Yagyuu looked ahead, lips quirking into a faint smile while watching the buttons slowly count down till they reached the ground floor. "But I doubt that's going to be on the menu around here."

"Seriously?" Oshitari raised a brow, more than amused. "England must have poisoned your taste in food. Though, you are underestimating Tokyo. There are plenty of British pubs around."

"I've been told it's genetic." Yagyuu agreed with an almost mournful tilt of his head before snapping back to amusement. "I haven't been to a decent pub in a long time. You wouldn't happen to play darts or pool, would you?"

"I'm no doctor, but I don't think fish and chips can be a genetic disorder," Oshitari teased. He hoped Yagyuu knew that everything he said was in good fun. "I know some pubs that do a mean fried fish," he said.

They stepped out of the elevator and proceeded to the train station, arm in arm against the crowd. "Of course. Though I don't pretend to be particularly good at either," he added modestly. "You can teach me."

"Thank you for satisfying my secret craving." Yagyuu leaned in close enough to murmur just before the hit the crush of people moving around the station. "I have to warn you however I can be a very strict teacher." He added, glasses glinting ominously for a moment.

Oshitari tried not to think about how both sentiments sounded vaguely dirty, if you considered it in a certain mindset. The tint of Yagyuu's glasses, probably a trick of the sunlight, hardly helped his gutter brain. Joining Oshitari's brain underground, they descended below and waited at the platform.

"You're very welcome," he grinned back. "We're in luck. I have it on good authority that I'm an excellent student," the urge to wink was just too irresistible.

Besides, Oshitari lied. He played both darts and pool perfectly well.

Stepping up to the turnstill Yagyuu swiped his card over the sensor and stepped easily through the barrier before glancing back at the blue haired man behind him, arching an eyebrow and allowing his lips to curl with a little smirk as he promised. "I will be the judge of that tonight."

"I'm feeling the pressure," Oshitari sighed dramatically. Though really, his eyes were watching the sharp curve of that smirk. "Please judge me kindly."

"I'm afraid I am not a very kind person Arthur." Still Yagyuu waited for the other man to clear the gate as well, hand slipping easily back around the firm arm. "But somehow I'm sure you can take it."

"You're going to turn me into a masochist," Oshitari teased as he passed the gate. His face certainly didn't reflect any sort of concern. As Yagyuu wrapped an arm around his once more, he was all smiles.

"I'll do my best then." Yagyuu echoed the other man with a gracious nod. "To give you no pleasure with it."

Oshitari pouted facetiously. "Cruel to be kind, in all the wrong measures," which was all he managed to say before they got sweeped into the overloaded car with the rest of the crowd.

"Just a few stops," he assured the young doctor.

Pressed against Yuushi by the relentless push of the people around him Yagyuu nodded his understanding. At least with the way bodies were packed around them he wouldn't need to worry about losing his balance when the train pulled away. There was barely enough room to breathe after all, let alone fall. "Isn't it preferable to the alternative?"

"Hmm," Oshitari noised lightly, "That remains to be seen."

Shifting a bit, he managed to wedge himself between Yagyuu and the crowd. He was tall enough to reach the ceiling on the train, and could guard against the compiled weight of bodies leaning this way and that.

He would be lying if he said he minded the way he was pressed up against when the train moved.

Tipping his head up Yagyuu murmured a quiet 'thank you' as Arthur moved to cover for him. "You have to let me know when you decide."

"Oh, you'll know," Arthur said, looking down at him. For now, he would enjoy that they were close enough that he could feel Yagyuu's breath running down his neck.

"Good." As the train trundled along Yagyuu was almost tempted to let his head rest against the other's strong shoulder.

It didn't take them long to get to Shinjuku station. When the doors opened, people flooded out, all trying to get to their locations. Arthur and Yagyuu were no different. To make sure they didn't get separated, he held the shorter man's hand as they left the ticket gate. "Are you ready for a beer after that?"

"Absolutely." Yagyuu was grateful to be able to breathe again when they emerged from the station. "But only if it's a properly cold one."

"I assure you, they have cold beer," Arthur assured him, opening the door of the establishment.

"Good." stepping into the comfortable dim light of the pub Yagyuu felt as if a weight had been taken from his shoulders, like coming home.

He headed straight for the bar to order their first round, leaving Arthur to decide on where he wanted to sit.

Allowing Yagyuu to order, Oshitari picked a small corner booth and started flipping through the menu. There were a few english options, and a few options that were modified for the japanese taste. I think I'll just get the same as him.

Sliding into his seat next to Arthur Yagyuu shrugged out of his jacket with a soft, pleased noise. "I like it here." Sure they stood out quite a bit and especially the expats were giving Arthur's and his own outfits interested looks but there was still a relaxed almost familial atmosphere in the establishment. "Have you decided what you'd like to eat?

"I'm glad."

Yagyuu sat next to him, and not across. His face revealed no surprise, but very little pleased him more on a date. Though he couldn't be sure whether or not this could be considered a date, but Arthur though of himself as an optimist. "I'll have what you're having."

Which was fish and chips. Likely it was also the dish the restaurant made best.

"then you'll have to have them with vinegar." Yagyuu decided with a firm nod and a faint smile.

"...Vinegar with fish, or with fries?" Arthur looked at Yagyuu with faux fear.

"Both." Yagyuu informed him in a sombre voice and with a sage nod.

Shivering, Arthur nodded solemnly in agreement. "Do your worst."

Another nod and when the busty young lady serving as their waitress delivered their drinks Yagyuu ordered their meals in perfect English. "Don't worry." turning back to Arthur he patted his knee reassuringly. "I'm a trained doctor, I can pump out your stomach if it's too much."

Though he understood english perfectly well, Oshitari was content to allow Yagyuu to order for him.

"You're so romantic," Arthur turned to Yagyuu, peering down at him. "How am I supposed to resist, truly?"

"I have no idea." Leaning back a little Yagyuu relaxed a little more and let his shoulder touch Arthur's. "But if you decide to say no you might want to do it before there is a plastic hose pushed down your throat." He added, sounding absolutely sincere aside from the amused light glowing in his eyes

Arthur gave a grave sigh, "I think, that somehow, I am training you to be a sadist." He extended an arm to wrap around Yagyuu's shoulders. "This is not a good sign, you know," his eyes were as playful as his tone mournful.

"Who is to say I wasn't a sadist to begin with?" Yagyuu countered, frowning in thought. "Maybe I simply try to keep it hidden from strangers and pimps I am not ...familiar with." He smirked faintly at his last words

With a grin, Arthur remarked, "So pimps you are familiar with are just fine, Mr Sadist?"

"Well they would need to know my preferences, wouldn't they." Yagyuu returned logically, as if they were not discussing something completely ludicrous

With a wise nod, Arthur continued, "True, as they would need to seek out someone who didn't mind a little pain. Fortunate for you, I'm excellent at my job."

"I expected nothing less." Busying himself with his beer for a moment Yagyuu took a long drought then licked the foam from his lips. "And who would you recommend to me?"

"Hmm, well, that depends on the kind of masochist you want," he mused, fighting the urge to kiss the foam off Yagyuu's lips himself.

"Do you want someone that will fight back, or someone that will let you punish them to heart's content?"

"That is a good question." While considering it Yagyuu tipped his head back and hummed a soft, thoughtful noise. "Do I have to choose? What if I'd like a little bit of both?"

Finally, Arthur saw fit to take a sip of his own beer as he contemplated. "So, someone who will indulge you sometimes, and demand more at others?"

"Yes." Yagyuu agreed with an almost surprised smile. "That sounds perfect."

"And would you want this person for awhile, or for a night?" Arthur asked, thinking of people who would fill that description. There were a few possibilities among his acquaintances, but Oshitari knew exactly who he wanted for Yagyuu.

"Well..." Taking another sip from his beer Yagyuu considered it. "That depends, though I can see myself coming back..." He sat his glass down again. "If the price is right.

Nodding, Arthur murmured, "So someone capable of both." Really, he should be taking notes at this stage. "Any preference as to looks?"

"No." Yagyuu watched Yuushi in amusement. "I though I suppose somebody reasonably attractive would be good." He tipped his head to the side. "Do you have pictures?"

"Not yet," Oshitari commented, taking a sip of his beer. "But I can get you some, if you like."

Oshitari did model a little over the years; he supposed he could give Yagyuu one of those pictures.

"Of course a picture is a poor reference but I am sure you can introduce us once I have made my choice." It really was exactly like he imagined the back and forth between potential customer and a pimp. "anybody you could recommend?

"I can assure you I know all the people I have in mind extraordinarily well. Any one of them would be excellent choices," he promised Yagyuu. As the waiter came by with the fish and chips, he paused for a moment. "And it even comes with vinegar," Arthur held up the small bottle and looked at Yagyuu.

"Of course." Folding his hands together Yagyuu rested his chin on them and nodded to Yuushi. "They know how it is done." He added, lips twitching in amusement

"And are you going to show me how it's done?" Arthur raised a brow as he lifted the vinegar. "Last time I was here I thought it was for decoration."

"I suppose..." Holding his hand out for the small plastic bottle Yagyuu allowed a little smirk to curl his lips. "If you are sure you trust me."

"I'm letting you put vinegar in my potatoes," he leaned his head on Yagyuu's shoulder. "If that's not trust, I don't know what is."

"I am honoured." Inclining his head Yagyuu wasted no time flipping the bottle open and squeezing a generous amount of the acidic liquid over Arthur's fries and fish. Repeating the maneuver over his own plate he finally set the bottle down and patted Yuushi's knee encouragingly. "Go on, try it

Seeing that his audience was less than sympathetic, Arthur sat up and took up a little bit of fish. "You too. We'll eat at the same time."

"Are you worried I poisoned you?" Quirking an eyebrow at Arthur Yagyuu nevertheless obliged and picked up a thick, soggy fry.

"No, but I do like company," Oshitari justified himself. "On the count of three?"

"That's acceptable." Yagyuu nodded and raised the fry to his lips, the smell of hot fat, potato, salt and vinegar making his stomach rumble in anticipation. "One.

"Two," Arthur raised the fork a little higher, an expression of mock apprehension on his face.

Lips twitching at the look on Arthur's face Yagyuu gave him an amused look before counting down the last number. "Three."

On the count of three, Arthur focused on the entertained look in his date's eye and took a bite of vinegar-flavored fish. The fish was mild and the vinegar tasted strong -- the dual sensation wasn't entirely unpleasant. "Not bad," he murmured, after swallowing.

"I told you." Yagyuu managed to say around his fry without appearing the least bit rude.

Arthur chuckled. "I said not bad, not this is the best thing ever," he still preferred his fries with mayonaise and ketchup, but the vinegar was okay too. Still, it was good, so he went on eating his meal with no complaints.

"You should know when to accept defeat gracefully ." Yagyuu lectured but not without a hint of humor. One by one the fries, the fish and the beer disappeared from the table and soon the surgeon was leaning back, sated and content.

When most of his food was gone, Oshitari put his hands behind his head and grinned at Yagyuu. "You're assuming I accept defeat at all."

"Do you not?" Propping his chin up on his palm Yagyuu gave 'Arthur' an interested look. "Then what do you do?"

"Hmmm, change my opinion. That which adapts sees another day," though in this case it wasn't necessary. If he truly believed it would taste awful, Arthur wouldn't have ordered it.

"I suppose that is one way to go about it." Seeing their waitress approach again Yagyu gestured at Yuushi's glass. "One more?"

Arthur grinned, "Only if you do." Though that meant he could only have one more tonight, if Yagyuu didn't want to carry him home.

"Why not." Yagyuu nodded to the young woman. "Two more of the same please, love." He sent her on her way again. "Now where should we head next?"

"Tokyo Tower," Arthur declared. "You haven't been up yet, right?"

"Ah, yes." Nodding again Yagyuu considered it. "Have you been up there often?"

"Mmm, mostly showing relatives that visted from Osaka," Oshitari admitted. Everyone that came from the country wanted to see Tokyo Tower.

The waitress came by and gave them their drinks. Arthur took his gratefully. "A toast?" he suggested, as she skittered from the table.

"By all means." Yagyuu agreed, raising his glass. "What shall we toast?"

With a devious grin, he said, "To Oishi. May your date be everything you hoped for and more."

Lips twitching Yagyuu raised his glass. "Let's drink to that." He agreed, tipping his glass and taking a long sip of beer.

Arthur clinked his glass to Yagyuu's, enjoying the expression on the other man's face and downed some beer. It was a little less watered down than the kind one would usually find in a Japanese bar.

"Of course I hope the same for you and Ohtori-kun." Added Yagyuu after another sip, setting his glass down again. "Have you asked him yet?

"I think you would've noticed me leave, if I did," Oshitari teased.

"I assure you I most certainly would have." There was an almost leer flashing for a moment under Yagyuu's mildly amused look.

They had only discussed it about an hour ago. How was Oshitari supposed to ask between then and now, unless he left. Which he had no desire to do. "I'd rather pay attention to my date right now, then think about the next one," he winked. He preferred the leer over the amused glances -- it was more honest.

Neither of them were really much for honesty, it seemed.

"I'm not sure if I should be flattered about that or offended that you'd think I wouldn't extend you the same courtesy." though the words might seem harsh Yagyuu tempered them with a quirk of his lips and a raised eyebrow. "Surely you can't think so little of yourself."

"I think only the best of myself," Arthur assured Yagyuu, dropping a hand to his date's knee. "Though I do believe you've misunderstood me. I wasn't referring to the toast, but the idea that I would ask someone else out while I was on a date with you."

That didn't mean he wouldn't ask Ohtori later on, but not while he was out with Yagyuu.

"I shall be flattered then." Yagyuu allowed the hand to settle on his knee, nodding to Yuushi. "I suppose I was merely impatient."

"You were," Arthur teased. As much as he was tempted, his hand remained still and comfortable on Yagyuu. "But that's okay. I'll let you in on a little secret," he leaned over to whisper to the lovely curve of Yagyuu's ear, "It was cute."

"I see." Tipping his head toward Arthur Yagyuu bit his bottom lip as warm breath teased over the susceptible skin of his ear. "Lets keep it our little secret, no?" Turning his head he was almost nose to nose with Yuushi as he winked slyly

Not shying from Yagyuu's gaze, Oshitari's lips quirked into a small smile. He leaned forward to press their foreheads together. "I can agree to that," he murmured.

"Um..." the waitress coughed, disturbing the men of their little moment.

"Ah, yes," he turned away from Yagyuu, showing no sign of embarrassment whatsoever. They had nothing to be embarrassed about. "Check, please," he turned back to Yagyuu. "Unless you want dessert, dear."

"No, thank you." Leaning back as well Yagyuu turned his attention on the waitress, giving her a look that made the poor girl practically cower. "Shall we take a cab to Tokyo Tower?"

"Then yes, check please," he said, continuing to speak to her in lightly accented english, more of a drawl because of the kansai dialect. In Japanese, he could turn it on and off. English, not so much.

The waitress straightened her spine, startled from Yagyuu's harsh look, and hurried off to get them the check. He wondered if there was something wrong with him, that he found that chilling glance so sexy. Deciding not to think about it, Oshitari gave her a credit card and she was off again.

"What, you don't want to get on the train again?" he murmured to Yagyuu, eyes glinting dangerously. "I'll protect you from the crowd."

"I thought we could spend some more time with just the two of us but if you'd prefer an audience..." Yagyuu trailed off and raised an eyebrow at Yuushi. "I suppose I can entrust myself into your skilled care."

"When you put it like that..." Arthur hummed. "I think I'm inclined to change my mind. Not be wrong, because I'm never wrong," he teased, giving Yagyuu's knee a little squeeze.

"Of course." The twitch of Yagyuu's lips was a clear sign that he was humouring the other man. "Shall we be on our way then, love?"

"As soon as I get my credit card back, dear," Oshitari fluttered his eyelashes at Yagyuu, and shifted out of the booth once they squared away the meal.

Fortunately for them, there were plenty of cabs in the area.

Linking his arm with Arthur's Yagyuu allowed the other man to escort him out. "Most gracious of you pumpkin."

"Only for you, darling," Oshitari said, as they hailed a taxi. He saw no reason to not be arm in arm, even when they were inside.

"You say the nicest things, sweetheart." Smiling beatifically Yagyuu rested his head against Arthur's shoulder.
